On the 30th of October we had a visit from an Environment Agency Officer. He inspected all aspects of the site – the drop-off yard, the composting pad etc. He also checked that all the relevant paperwork was correct and up to date.

We have now received the report and we attained top marks, they found nothing at fault! They say that “no breaches were identified during the site inspection”. The inspector commented, “The companies that bring the green waste are encouraged and helped by Mr Jackson to register their lower tier waste carriers licence, this is very good practice from a waste transfer station.” Overall he describes us as “well run and managed”.

More and more I hear of gardening customers wanting to know what happens to the waste when it is taken away. Well now you can tell your clients you use a fully permitted site that has been commended by the Environment Agency for the way we are run.
Well that’s an early Christmas present! And speaking of Christmas we hope that after this strangest of years you have a great one and that we see you again in the New Year. Please note that we are closed between Christmas and New Year and reopen on Monday 4th January 2021.
